Students from the environmental technology and renewable energy department of the Höchstädt Technical College and VET4Africa e.V. trainers assembled solar cases in various sizes, which could then be purchased by interested trade fair visitors in aid of the VET4Africa association. Dr David Wekesa from Kenya, who had already completed the PV1 and PV2 courses of the Vet4Africa training program and has since been able to establish his own chair for environmental technology in Nairobi, was also present. The donation helps to train more PV teachers, who in turn will act as African multipliers in the field of renewable energies and photovoltaics in their country and thus contribute to sustainable development through education.
Roughly 60 exhibitors from 12 nations present their expertise and showcase their innovative products.
